The key to any successful treatment is a safe, trusting, compassionate relationship between the therapist and client- this is our first goal. Often our most intimate relationships play out problems that we encounter again and again. Together we will examine connections between your past and present, and ways in which current behaviors can be modified in order to have more successful and fulfilling relationships- our long term goal.
In addition to my generalized knowledge of psychology, my human sexuality education has trained me to treat sexual dysfunctions and given me an in-depth understanding of matters around sexual orientation and gender. I also treat issues surrounding infertility, pregnancy, and post-partum depression and anxiety.
My training is in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and sex and relationship therapy. While each client's needs are different, and your treatment will suit your goals, some aspects of a treatment relationship with me are always consistent: each client is treated with respect and focus, leavened with humor.
