I work with people who are experiencing a wide range of struggles including difficulty regulating their emotions, adjusting to life transitions, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, and the spectrum of eating disorder diagnoses. I emphasize building on your strengths and values, understanding and adjusting ineffective patterns in your life, and increasing your positive skills and pleasurable activities
I have training in a variety of evidenced based treatment approaches. I use an integration of these while focusing on Mindful Self Compassion, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Emotion Regulation. I may have the knowledge about the therapy, but you are the expert of you. Together we will make a good team.
I believe it is important to incorporate all aspects of your life. I have done additional training on incorporating a focus of spirituality and/or religion if you desire. Incorporating faith or spirituality is a personal decision that does not appeal to all clients. Not a necessity in our approach, but rather an area I can help you explore if desired.
