In my career, I have worked with clients of all ages, including adolescents and adults of diverse backgrounds who are coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, life transitions and a myriad of other issues. I practice from a place that you are the expert when it comes to your lived experiences. My therapeutic style is centered around respect and empathy and I strive to empower and encourage you as the expert in your journey to heal and gain insight into why you do what you do. I am here to support you and to provide you with a safe space where you can learn, grow, and alleviate emotional suffering.
I am trauma informed and I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) most often during sessions.
It takes courage, hard work, understanding and self compassion to heal from traumatic and difficult events in our lives. When unresolved it can also lead to addiction, anger, suicide ideation, self harming behaviors and relationship issues.
