I’m not your typical therapist. I would be best described as patient and direct. I use these strengths to help my clients because I firmly believe each person has the ability to heal and to be their own personal badass. I love nothing more than to advocate for you to be the best version of you. I will push you and support you through whatever life throws at you. I do this because eating disorders and trauma get in the way of you getting to be you- freely, authentically YOU. I am here to help you find and fully embrace this version of you because no matter what life has taught you, you deserve good things.
Dealing with your trauma can be terrifying, and having a therapist you feel safe with is essential. I strive to provide this to each and every client, and I’m always happy to make any adjustments to accommodate client needs. I am EMDR trained and I thoroughly enjoy using this in sessions to help clients find healing from trauma and eating disorders.
I hope to help you find healing as you get to know yourself better. If you're at a loss- can't stop the eating disorder thoughts, struggle to live in the present because of past abuse, then I'd love to be your person. Christian Teen Body Image Recovery Group
This will be a space to share concerns about their appearance, identify and challenge toxic messages they’ve received about food and body, and develop self-compassion by exploring how God sees them and longs for them to see themselves. We will utilize ACT and CBT as we explore and identify values and begin to implement them in daily life.

Teen Body Image and Eating Disorder Recovery Group
We will be exploring concepts such as what it means to trust your own body and how to gain that trust, identifying personal values and exploring how to capitalize on these as part of recovery, and learning practical skills for improving self-worth. We will be focusing more on connecting with one’s body, not solely working on body image. (My intention is that this group will include components to make it also appropriate for clients with ARFID.)
