In my practice, I utilize the principles of self psychology to guide my work with clients. I believe that a healthy sense of self is essential for the psychological well-being, and I strive to create a safe and empathic environment where clients can explore and develop their sense of self.
In working with clients, I focus on providing empathic attunement and mirroring, acknowledging and validating their experiences, emotions, and needs. I understand that individuals with personality disorders and other self-related issues may have experienced a lack of empathy and mirroring in their early development.
My goal in utilizing self psychology and other treatment modalities is to support clients in developing a stronger and more stable sense of self, leading to improved emotional well-being and healthier relationships. I believe that by providing a nurturing and validating therapeutic environment clients can heal and grow.
