Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
DBT is an effective treatment for people who struggle to manage their emotions, stress, relationships and impulsive behaviors. DBT combines CBT and mindfulness practice. It is based on a bio-social theory which believes problems develop from the interaction of biological/physiological makeup and environmental factors, which together, create difficulty managing emotions. DBT skills can help navigate through stressful times, help in a crisis and not make the situation worse, understand and manage emotions, deal with distress, ask for what one wants or effectively say no, learn how to be taken seriously and how to be in the present moment. Groups offered via telehealth only.

If you're considering psychotherapy, several options are available. One of those options is group therapy. Depending on the nature of your problem, group therapy can be an ideal choice for addressing your concerns and making positive changes in your life. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating at first, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not. In fact, group members are almost always surprised by how rewarding the group experience can be. Come join our virtual circle via telehealth, weekly.
