LGBTQ+ people experience many different situations and circumstances that are unique to the LGBT community. Your gender and orientation doesn't define you, but it does play a large role in your life and impacts many different other issues that you may face. You deserve a counselor who not only understands this, but also knows how to incorporate a person's whole self into counseling and addresses the specific challenges unique to the LGBTQ+ Community.
I specialize in helping LGBTQ+ clients with their goals of attaining mental and emotional wellness. This includes healing and processing from trauma, addressing depression and anxiety, working through family issues, phase of life concerns, work and school problems, and other topics that affect one's wellness.
My practice is a trauma informed, open, inclusive, and a positive place. I am trained in and regularly use EMDR with clients for a variety of issues. I am also a specialist in working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, and other clients.
