People select me as a therapist due to my non-judgmental demeanor and 30+ years of experience. I believe it is important to be professional yet not clinically stuffy, humble yet confident and knowledgeable yet still teachable. I love life and people. The mistakes I've made have been my greatest teachers. Nobody's perfect. We all have problems....but we all have room for growth & improvement. It's a crazy world. The goals of being able to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground, in order to fulfill one's responsibilities in life, yet keep one 's 'hand in the sky', in order to experience joy are pragmatic, realistic and attainable.
I developed my own form of therapy, 'Mind Construction', which is a form of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. It's designed to help people identify their strengths and deficits, w/regards to behavior, thoughts, feelings & core beliefs. It employs the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual Model and incorporates the importance of culture.
My wife and I do 'Radical Progressive Conjoint Couples Counseling'. That's when two therapists simultaneously evaluate and treat a couple. The sessions are 1 1/2 hours long. I'm also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), evaluating employees working in 'Safety-Sensitive Duties'.

Groups
Group for Psychotherapists
I'd like to start a group for psychotherapists because we are always helping others but oftentimes don't have a therapeutic outlet with others who can understand our stressors. Individual therapy is great & important, however, being able to have a group of our peers at a reasonable cost can be very validating and provide a sense of relief. So many people are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and other issues that it can be overwhelming at times. Having the opportunity to get together with one another can be very therapeutic, cathartic and fulfilling.
