I have worked with a wide age range of individuals at various stages of life. I believe every individual is an expert in their own experience. Nobody truly knows your thoughts and emotions like you do. That being said, I also know it can get confusing to sort out what we're feeling and why we do what we do. Life can be hard sometimes, and I have personally found it helpful to share my thoughts with another impartial individual to help me navigate what I was going through and identify what I wanted for my life. We aren't all dealt an equal set of cards, but I love helping people learn to manage with the hand they are dealt.
My core approach is based in Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These approaches bring awareness to our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as well as how they impact our day to day choices. I work towards helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves in order to gain more control over their emotions and behaviors.
I know it can feel very vulnerable to reach out for help, especially while fighting stigma surrounding mental health. Even if it's not being openly talked about around you, everyone has mental health needs and it is very normal to need extra support at various times in our life.
