I use a collaborative approach to serve teens and adults to create positive change. I support clients in identifying and meeting goals which may include: improving communication, decreasing symptoms of depression or anxiety, increasing confidence, navigating big decisions and life transitions. I enjoy treating teens around issues of healthy relationships, peer conflict, communication, setting boundaries, peer pressure & substance use, and growing up! I have specialized experience with LGBTQ+ teens around issues of identity, coming out and discrimination. I practice from a trauma-informed orientation and use harm-reduction principles
For 20 years I have served teens and adults in a variety of capacities at nonprofit and healthcare organizations. I earned my MSW in 2010 from Temple University and have been engaging clients therapeutically since then. I am motivated by helping clients decrease suffering, improve life and experience joy.
Therapy should feel safe, sometimes uncomfortable, but never terrifying. We will go at your pace to make positive changes and make life feel good. As a social worker, I follow the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers. I believe strongly in social justice, improving quality of life and I believe that every person has dignity and worth.
