Hi, I'm Rachel Wallick. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with young adults and adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. I am eclectic in that I pull from multiple approaches in working with clients, in hopes of helping you gain insight into yourself - your mind and your body to feel empowered to heal and reach your goals. I find that curiosity and compassion are so significant in our work together - before I dive into approaches I make sure we can be curious together about why you are here, what led to this place, and with compassion find a way forward.
I draw from a person-centered approach - you are the expert in your own life. I use Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
The first session will look a little different than the others. I'll be asking you questions about yourself - a bit of your life story, what you have been facing recently or in the past, and how this is impacting your life now. We'll talk about your thoughts on being in therapy and what you hope to achieve through working together.
