Rachel Tassile (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed social worker who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her specialty interests include: PTSD and trauma, first-responder trauma, ADHD, autism, foster care and adoption transitions and issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Rachel completed her advanced education at Calvin University, earning a bachelor’s degree in social work. She continued her education at Fordham University, earning a master’s degree in social work. Over the last several years, Rachel has taken specialized trainings in trauma, first responder trauma, and ADHD symptom management.
Rachel’s approach to counseling is trauma-informed, emotionally focused, and strengths-based. She views counseling like weight lifting; you cannot just jump to lifting 400 lbs, you have to start small. She believes that even little progress IS progress and should be acknowledged celebrated, and used as a learning opportunity for further growth.
