Grief is often associated with the death of a loved one, a dear friend or a beloved pet, but the experience of grief extends far beyond that singular event. It encompasses a wide range of losses that can profoundly impact an individual's emotional, psychological, and even physical state. Whether it is the loss of a dream of ever being a parent, independence due to a chronic illness, a job, or even a homeland, grief manifests whenever there is a significant loss that changes one’s sense of self or the world around them. These losses might not always be visible or understood by others, making them all the more challenging to navigate.
I am a seasoned grief specialist working with individuals and families across North Carolina and Connecticut. I have the privilege of walking alongside those who are on this journey to experience and move through grief without judgment or unrealistic expectations whilst also providing tools to navigate complex emotions and develop healthy coping skills.
As an experienced reproductive and maternal mental health specialist I support new mothers and their families adjust to parenthood, work through different and difficult challenges as well as incredible loss such as a miscarriage or infertility issues. My deep understanding and compassion for the diverse needs of my clients helps me meet them where they are.
