I am a very warm and open therapist who believes the most important aspect of therapy is forming a trusting, personal connection. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment and encourage patient collaboration as we identify treatment goals and evaluate our progress. I provide individual, couple's and family therapy in my practice and work with teens, adults and seniors. My specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, relationship and parenting stressors, and bereavement. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Supervision of other psychotherapists is a passion of mine and a meaningful part of my practice. I am on the staff of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy where I provide supervision to trainees in the Trauma and Adult Treatment programs. I supervised the clinical staff of an outpatient mental health and substance abuse program for over six years.
I obtained my graduate degree from Columbia University and post-graduate certification in Family and Couple's Therapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
