My focus is on working with individuals and families who are experiencing grief due to the loss of loved ones through death, the ending of relationships, the onset of disability, or other types of life changes that require significant adjustment. I have also trained specifically to work with the unique challenges faced by first responders and veterans in their careers and I work with individual clients of all ages. I believe in building and establishing rapport and trust while having an empathetic, nonjudgmental approach.
My training has included CBT, Family Systems Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy supported by a client-centered approach and emphasizing multiculturalism. I am dedicated to upholding high ethical and legal standards with an understanding of those issues associated with mental health care.
My goal is to help clients overcome their struggles and accomplish their goals by providing a safe space to freely explore and express thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I believe in collaborating with client's to help them achieve their therapeutic goals while meeting client's where they are at when in session. "Life's a climb, but the view is great."
