Many times what we learned to do as kids- to cope and manage - no longer serve us as adults. When these strategies are now getting in the way of our every day life and relationships it's time to regroup, work on what's coming up for us, and find new strategies that helps us move forward. I am here to support you to address your experiences, traumas, and challenges that come up in all aspects of your life. I am committed to anti-racism and am from the LGBTQIA+ community. Unfortunately, I am only taking individuals and families, not couples at this time.
I encourage people to bring their whole selves into the therapy space: identities, religion (if applicable), perspectives and interests. I use a trauma informed approach, am trained in EMDR and expressive arts. I'll help you to find new coping strategies (yes, one's that truly work) and support you to use them to then heal from all you've been through.
I believe in having an authentic connection with the people I work with. You are the driver of your therapy, and I will use my training to support you to meet your goals. In therapy, we'll highlight your strengths and the tools that you already have. When you're ready, I'll support you to face and feel what you've gone through in order to heal from it.
