I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and related conditions. I have expertise in working with adolescents, adults, families, and parents of children with special needs. I strongly believe that treatment is most successful in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I work collaboratively with each client to set and work towards personal goals. Therapy can be short term or long term; some clients come weekly for 3 to 4 months until symptoms decrease, while others remain in therapy for longer periods of time.
My areas of expertise include the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, phobias and emotion dysregulation. I also conduct DBT-informed therapy for emotion dysregulation when indicated. I also integrate mindfulness-based interventions, when appropriate.
As a result of my personal experiences, I am passionate about helping parents of children with special needs. I believe these parents need time and space to take care of themselves while also taking care of their children. I welcome the opportunity to treat clients from diverse backgrounds.
