Hi, I'm Rachel. Thanks for checking out my profile. I have been working as a counselor for 9 years. Through my time, I have worked with people from many different backgrounds. I work with clients from the age of 6 through adulthood. Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Everyone struggles sometimes. and it can be beneficial to have someone there to help navigate through those challenges. Flexibility and humor are important in life and in therapy, and I offer both of those things.
I have an eclectic approach. I use techniques from Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. I also have experience in trauma-informed care. I have a personalized approach that is based on the needs of my client.
Every person is unique, with their own strengths and struggles. I like to work with my clients to help them discover their strengths and accept themselves, while working on increasing the skills they need to decrease their struggling.
