My work with clients supports their emotional and relational well-being by exploring what gets in their way from living the way they desire. I weave extensive experience in working with complex trauma with systems work - exploring the ways in which the context we are surrounded by, deeply impacts our ability to live an embodied life. My clients often come to me because they have been to therapy before and are looking for a direct approach that supports them in moving out of pure awareness, and into embodied living. Embracing the present moment while moving towards change.
Somatic psychotherapy and EMDR utilize the innate wisdom your body-mind holds to heal and grow by getting in touch with all parts of yourself. My sessions are client centered, culturally sensitive, and relationally based, and incorporate concepts of mindfulness, experiential body-based learning, co-regulation, and trauma processing with EMDR techniques.
