I offer expertise for those seeking relief and ways to cope with difficult relationships & life circumstances challenged by symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma & PTSD, and addiction. Research is showing that many are mis-diagnosed with various disorders when the core issues reside in untreated PTSD symptoms. As a Licensed Addiction Counselor I educate those seeking substance abuse treatment and support. I specialize in couples counseling. I'm a trauma informed psychotherapist. My training focuses on improving our self-concept to free us from faulty beliefs & unhealthy behaviors learned as a child or as a result of trauma.

I'm trained in the practice of CBT and teach techniques such as reframing our thoughts to change unhealthy behaviors or to improve our low self-worth. I'm a facilitator of change because if we aren't changing we aren't getting better. Recovery equals change. Change equals recovery.

Individuals gain knowledge of addiction as a disorder and brainstorm solutions together & learn healthy coping skills. Participants share experiences of their recovery and provide support for each other regarding daily living. Group members appreciate coming each Monday knowing that others care about their successes & challenges. Come build a recovery plan. Individuals enjoy having a seasoned therapist experienced in steering a therapeutic message. Maybe AA/NA not for you. Encouraged not forced on you. Group cost $25. Call Scott Carpenter for interview. Womens Support Group - Living with Challenging Men

A group for women seeking support and encouragement to change how they themselves think, feel, & behave within their unhealthy relationships. The premise is that we're not going to change our partner and that changes need to happen within ourselves to facilitate healthy changes away from a challenging or abusive relationship. Being reminded we have certain rights allows us to learn and practice healthy assertiveness techniques and practices. This group is about validation & problem solving. Perhaps we're operating with unresolved trauma and that our current unhealthy relationship keeps triggering our PTSD symptoms & distracting us from thinking and acting clearly.
