Life can be stressful and dealing with it can lead to anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns and many other emotions that can leave us feeling completely overwhelmed and with little hope that things will ever get better. But I know that people are capable of extraordinary things, especially when we open our hearts to having someone present throughout the journey to self-improvement. As a Christian, I feel that this journey is meant to be shared with others. As a former caregiver who routinely saw good people at their very worst times, I understand the need to feel heard, seen, valued, respected, encouraged, and supported.
The challenges of life can be complex and come from a variety of sources, so I strive to integrate spiritual and holistic aspects into my practice. I typically find that I need to use several evidence-based techniques from approaches like CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Christian-based, Positive Psychology, SFBT, Strength-based, and REBT.
