Expansive Therapy is a 100% LGBTQ+ owned and focused therapy practice. We wanted to go beyond checking a box for queer affirming therapy to creating a practice that was committed to the community, where queer people could bring their whole selves into therapy. Queer theory asks that we look at the world in a new way, not through a heteronormative lens, but from each individual perspective which is unique and perfect. We are passionate about understanding the unique challenges of our community and helping our queer clients to heal.
We are the first therapy practice to be named to Out Magazine's Out100 for our work with the queer community. We also trained directly under Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, for a year to better help our LGBTQ clients deal with trauma and PTSD.

We work with PPO and POS plans, insurance usually covers most of our fee.
