Promising Prep is an established therapy practice dedicated to serving the mental health needs of Black and Brown girls and young women in the District of Columbia and surrounding areas. We provide a safe place for clients to discover themselves and experience the healing they need to fulfill the best versions of themselves. We specialize in working with clients who have experienced prior trauma in their home, school, or community. Also, we are able to support life transitions such as moving, attending a new school, dealing with a divorce or processing a familial death. Our staff is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapies.
We believe the most beneficial part of our practice is not just the work we complete with our clients. It is also the partnership we provide to their families.
