Do you ever feel like something is missing or just not right? Do you experience stress, worry or difficult emotions around relationships, work, family or school? I believe all people have strength, wisdom, courage and compassion within, sometimes we need help finding the good stuff to support our healing. My primary aim is to validate the courage required to ask for help and work with clients to co-create a safe space to seek deeper understanding of self, find ways to activate (or reactivate) personal strengths, and experience more calm and confidence on the personal healing journey.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which helps clients stabilize emotions and improve relationships; along with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) that supports clients in targeting past losses, emotional wounds and/or personal trauma. I also integrate Family Systems work, art and movement to integrate body, mind and heart.
I believe everyone can grow, learn, heal and experience increasing joy. Sometimes the journey is difficult and having a supportive guide in the process is critical. Through many years in counseling, education and life I've acquired deepening compassion, skills and insight to be the guide on your journey to more confidence and a lighter heart.
