I work with teens and adults who desire change; are struggling with emotional pain, discomfort, or dissatisfaction; or feel a desire for self-exploration and personal growth. Issues may include mental health concerns, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, or self-esteem and identity. We’ll use both top-down (cognitive) and body-up (experiential) approaches to organize and make sense of what’s happening, and create an integrated and expansive experience of Self so that you can access the inner resources you need to heal, grow and thrive.
My approach to counseling is based on a 3-pillar path to neural integration: strengthen attention, open awareness, and cultivate compassion. In this collaborative work, you are in charge of our pace and the direction we take—though I will gently challenge if useful, and I will offer perspective, ideas, tools, strategies, and experiements.
