I enjoy working with both adolescents and adults. I have worked in a wide variety of settings including Alternative High School, Outpatient and Inpatient Drug Treatment, State Hospital, Community Mental Health Center, and for the past 3 years private practice. My background and years of experience includes assessment, interventions, crisis counseling, individual and group therapy.
I have a bachelor's degree specializing in Addictions and a master's in Community Mental Health with an emphasis in Dual Diagnosis (mental health combined with substance abuse).I have worked with people suffering from life stressors such as the loss of a loved one, to many types of mental health diagnosis, and addiction .
I have an eclectic approach and utilize the client's strengths to obtain their desired wants and needs. I believe that by offering a safe and nonjudgmental environment, this allows for a strong therapeutic relationship to be built. This strong relationship fosters trust and hope which are vital keys to success for the client.
