Change and growth may feel unwelcome, yet you might find that your usual ways of coping aren’t holding up like they use to. Managing stress and constantly feeling restless is exhausting. Sessions aim to explore formative life experiences and culture to better understand the factors that impact you now and contribute to who you are today. Empathy and self-compassion are the basis of my therapeutic approach where we will focus on building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. My current focus is working with clients experiencing the life stage transition into adulthood (18-30 y/o) and those reconciling childhood trauma.
As an Art Therapist I use art to help you more deeply explore, gain awareness of thoughts/feelings, and better understand what's needed and important to you right now to achieve higher self-trust during a time of change and personal challenge. Art can help explore, process, problem solve, tell a story, ground and challenge thinking.
I aim to help you find ways of saying/showing what your internal world looks like so that it doesn’t have to feel so overwhelming, lonely or foreign.
