I believe that we learn unhealthy and unproductive ways of thinking that can lead to feelings and behaviors that are detrimental to the fullness of our lives. However, just as we learned to live this way, we can also teach ourselves to live healthy and more fulfilling lives. Through an of exploration of patterns and a CBT approach toward change, I move with clients towards a deeper understanding of current challenges in order to affect change in their lives. I provide an open and non-judgmental space for in-depth discussion of needs and special exploration of strengths and hopes to move towards a healthy and productive life.
I provide psychotherapy for individuals who wish to work on adjustment issues, interpersonal issues, grief, mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, trauma, or anger management.
I see people as an invaluable resource and any attempt to live a healthier and more full life is to be commended and appreciated. I also enjoy working with populations who have a difficult time expressing themselves and often employ the use of popular culture (books, music, television, etc.) to relate common issues to everyday experiences with clients.
