I grew up in the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington, DC. I acquired my bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins and a master of social work degree from University of Pennsylvania. I have been licensed and practicing since 2015. I work with individual adults and couples. I have extensive experience working with grief, adjustment to illness, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and the varied ambiguities of marriage, extramarital affairs, and separation.
My therapy stance is that the pursuit of a meaningful, examined life often requires that we feel badly. But, when we can prioritize what matters to us, learn to accommodate emotional discomfort, and behave in ways that match our values, we are more fulfilled, purposeful, and connected to what we love.
I am very grateful and humbled that my clients share their lives with me. I am reverent of what a huge privilege it is to help my clients clarify, and then work toward, their aspirations. I am generally solution-focused in my approach, endeavoring to create change by focusing my clients' strengths.
