It is really not working out like I thought it would. Conflict at home, conflict on the job and it seems like conflict with myself. It seems as if many of things I have wanted in life have not yet happened. I am falling behind people my age. Some situations get better, then two other situations get worse. It seems as if my trying to be positive about the situation has not changed anything. It seems so exhausting. I have a good job and good family but something is missing. I go to church, pray, I help others (when I need help it seems as if there is no one available). Why am I not satisfied or happy? Things are just not quite right.
We help our clients step back and take a different perspective of their lives. We help them to articulate concerns about their current existence and envision changes that seem more satisfactory to their personality. We help our people to design specific goals that line up with their values and lifestyles. We help them to develop coping skills in this journey

As the client examines his thoughts about the story/trauma, they rewrite the story from the hero perspective instead of the victim. They are the superhero who made it through!

More Joy: Less Stress
This is a joyous group focusing on un wanted behaviors and trauma recovery. It will be an active group using writing, acting and movement to help reduce anxiety. There will be guided discussions of how the traumatic or distressing events impact current behaviors and relationships. The group leaders are professional therapists who specializing supporting individuals with history of various distressing events. The leaders will include Best Practices for reducing trauma responses and opportunities to process trauma using EMDR, Yoga and Theater and movement activities.
