Hello, I am Brian J. Davis, LCSW . I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience as a therapist and 20 years of experience as a social worker. I have spent time working with a variety of populations throughout my career. I have provided mental health treatment to a vast array of clients from all different walks of life. I love this aspect of being a therapist because it has allowed me to gain perspective and understanding of so many different cultures and lifestyles. I am calm and empathetic, I believe in therapy and the power it has to help a person actualize their best self.

While I am open to and confident in working with all ages and populations, a focus and passion of mine are young adults. Young adults that are seeking a higher quality of life, looking to better understand their emotions, to process past traumas, manage/reduce anxiety, manage/reduce depression, keep stable moods, and clearly identify their short and long-term therapy goals - aimed toward building lifelong self-confidence and self-esteem.

My client and service focus is on individuals or entities seeking treatment, psychological evaluations, risk assessment, expert witness representation, and related services for sexual misconduct, sexual abuse, sexual victimization, or trauma. Other areas of specialty include assessment of violence; standards of professional practice; program development; supervision and training of forensic practitioners; treatment or supervision of professionals and clergy with sexual misconduct; pretrial defendants; juveniles delinquency and sexual offending; and supervision or training of clinical personnel involved in various relevant psychological, civil, or criminal justice interventions. Also, I have extensive training in treatment of general psychological conditions as well as providing psychological and psycho-educational evaluations.

I am an individual, couples and family therapist with more than twenty years experience treating couples issues, adolescent and family problems, grief and bereavement, depression and adjustment problems. My primary goal as a therapist is to help my clients effectively meet and respond to the issues and problems of their lives, either in their roles as parents, spouses, or teenagers. I work hard to understand each client and family member's dilemmas and struggles, and to create an atmosphere of trust so that each session provides a place where one is heard, understood and supported.

Ryan is a marriage and family therapist who offers individual therapy, couples counseling and family counseling for children, adolescents and adults. With degrees from both Millersville University and Walden University, Ryan has worked in a myriad of treatment setting, most notably and recently working in chronically disadvantaged neighborhoods.

I address all issues from the perspective of a person's environment. We all exist in the context of a family, a community and a culture. In therapy we often find that there is nothing wrong with us, depression, anxiety, etc., are not innate dysfunctions but rather result from conflict that arises in our environment. I like to help individuals, couples and families learn about these environments to better navigate them as well as learn about themselves and what it means to be who they are in the context of their environment.

Having extensive experience, I use empirically supported therapies, and have treated a wide range of ages as well as the most serious disorders. It is my belief that salient therapy treats a client in 3 different directions: top-down (spiritual dimension), inside out (healing of memories), and outside-in (Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). After a thorough assessment, I would identify with my client, determine problems on which to work, set appropriate goals, and determine the correct therapeutic intervention(s) to be used. Meeting those goals would be a therapeutic benchmark throughout the therapy.

With over 30 years experience, I am a child & adult psyciatrist practicing primarily psychotherapy, addressing a full range of issues from emotional strains, anxiety, depression and trauma, to developmental issues including gender development, autistic spectrum and psychosis.
