I am happy that you are here. Seeking out support or making a change can be intimidating and oftentimes daunting. As a counselor, it is my role to provide a space to do so and listen through a lens of compassion, empathy and understanding as to just how difficult life can sometimes be. I am a LCSW with over a decade of social work experience in outpatient clinic, school, university, non-profit and community settings. I specialize in working with adults, adolescents and their families, members of the LGBTQI2S+ communities, working artists, and parents. I have an understanding and dedication to working within a social justice framework, and strive to maintain a practice that is affirming of all identities, experiences and orientations. I believe that any strong therapeutic relationship is built on collaboration, honesty, and the belief that change is possible.

We have all gone through hard things in life and often have internalized negative messages and memories from those times. These can block us from living the lives we really want. EMDR is a therapeutic approach that can heal those stuck memories and free up your energy for growth and new ways of living.

I offer EMDR and MARI-Mandala therapeutic assessments. I offer psychological testing and evaluations to help address concerns and clarify diagnoses. I assess a variety of conditions, including, ADHD, mental health disorders, personality traits, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and PTSD, among other conditions.

We help clients deal with many different mental health conditions from relationship and school-related issues to more specialized mental health issues. Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Emily’s treatment sessions utilize evidence based practices derived from CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches in order to help you develop and achieve your goals.
