I'd like you to know that you can feel better, whether you're troubled by difficult feelings, thoughts, behaviors or situations. I work in a highly collaborative way, using empathy, education, humor, patience and lots of practice to help you reach your mental health and wellness goals. I'll introduce you to CBT, mindfulness, and acceptance based skills to build your resilience, confidence, and ability to manage uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, and to promote healthy relationships. I work with adults from college age and on. .
I will help you break down goals, stressors, or "to do's" into manageable pieces and strategize about complex problems. I have a particular interest in anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and supporting families with children on the autism spectrum including Sensory Integration & Nonverbal Learning Disorders, and Asperger's Syndrome.
Cllnical research and experience has taught us that combining multiple types of treatment often works best. As a team, we can choose the right clinical strategies for you and create an individualized plan that allows you to move toward self-acceptance, self-confidence, resilience and change.
