My approach to therapy is both compassionate and empathetic. I believe we all have the ability to grow and change if we have the necessary support, desire and tools. Through the therapeutic relationship and process, clients can improve the quality of their lives by gaining a better understanding of themselves. My goal is to help my clients gain courage and self awareness to live life fully. My approach is collaborative, intuitive and gestalt. I specialize in grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, illness, anxiety, depression, women's issues, postpartum depression and issues related to chronic health.
I have been in the field for over 15 years in a variety of settings, and have supported clients and their family members with various issues, including anxiety, depression, codependency, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, illness, grief/bereavement, and the aging process. I believe in building a safe environment together to foster support and growth.
I have a Masters in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia. I completed an intensive, three year post-graduate training at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia as well as a one year post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am certified as a Gottman Level I counselor (couples counseling).
