I have seen that nothing is set in stone, and that solutions are within reach when looking for relief from anxiety, self doubt, depression and a general sense of stress and overwhelm. I help you to pay attention to the inner strengths that you already possess, as well as to become aware of any thought & behavior patterns that might be blocking the very changes you want in yourself and/or in your relationships. Working together, we can discover and build a more effective skill set for making those changes so you feel calmer, more capable, and more content.
The youth and adults in my practice often want help with personal growth, life transitions, work/school challenges, parenting guidance, relationship conflict, grief/loss, divorce. My therapeutic approach integrates components of insight oriented, psychodynamic, emotionally focused therapy, CBT and psycho-education.
I also have expertise in teaching moms and dads the skills to Parent with Intention and Curiosity so they better understand their child/teen’s overwhelming feelings and challenging behaviors. The result is less reactivity and conflict, more effective communication, more compassion, and a safer connection felt by everyone.
