I believe everyone benefits when students understand how they learn. I work closely with families and teachers during the assessment process to gather objective data about the student's performance and behavior, both at home and at school. If there are roadblocks that are getting in the way of an individual's success, my focus is to identify those obstacles and target interventions that will assist the student toward academic success.
Assessments should be used as a "GPS" for a student's academic training. Once he/she learns about their strengths and areas of need, they are better equipped to develop accommodations. My strengths-based approach helps to improve students' self-esteem and self-confidence in academics, as well as future life endeavors.
