Hello, my name is Paul Smith, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). For well over 15 years I have been assisting clients of various ages, develop effective learning strategies to cope with life’s challenges. I have an expertise in working with the adolescent population, as well as the young adult population. I have provided parents with consultation sessions who have concerns about their child(ren) and certain behavioral issues.
I work to create both an empowering and encouraging environment as new skills sets are obtained. To have the honor and privilege to work with another person's growth has become my life’s work. Many developmental experiences can only be addressed from caring, trusted clinician and I seek to be the empathic soul to support a person on this healing path.
Life does get better, it's just the perceived lonely walks that require help from someone willing to walk alongside to provide the needed support. I will meet clients where they are and focus on the true need at the time, sometimes providing psycho-education, positive encouragement, or exploring age-appropriate beneficial life choices.
