I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families for over 30 years. The decision to enter counseling is often a difficult one, but the rewards from a positive and productive experience are abundant. There are challenges at every stage of life that are difficult to manage without support and good information. My goal is to help every client discover what will work best for their situation in the most efficient and respectful process possible. All of us function best when we know what we want and manage our behavior to reach those goals. Good therapy is worth the investment.
I work from a problem solution model. Problems are identified and potential solutions explored in the context of what we know works. Therapeutic interventions are chosen that have the best chance for positive and enduring change. I work with my clients on evaluating progress in achieving the desired behavioral changes.
I have worked with clients, taught college students, and trained therapists for many years. Feedback has taught me that my stength is listening and the abilty to communicate my thoughts clearly and respectfully. I have produced many psychological evaluations that are user friendly and sensitive to the client's situation.
