I am a dedicated Couples Therapist and Individual Therapist who works by mixing both psychodynamic/relational and somatic practices. I specialize in supporting couples who struggle with communication, and infidelity, and those who have "lost the spark". My Individual work focuses on anxiety, relationship issues, and stress management. I work well with people who struggle to manage conflict and feel insecure in expressing their wants/needs/thoughts/feelings. I am direct, and kind, and I provide both practical tools and deeper insights.
We all naturally find adaptive and maladaptive ways to seek connection and comfort and together we work to unlearn the maladaptive responses, strengthen the adaptive responses and work toward creating a sense of safety in security within yourself and your relationships. I often use a bottom-up approach, using mindfulness, neuroscience, and body-based tools.
Finding the right match in therapy can be difficult. It's my goal to help clients feel a sense of agency & comfort in creating goals & desired outcomes from therapy.
