Many couples seek my services because their marriage is without passion, trust has been violated or hope seems like a faded memory. I partner with couples in restoring hope. It begins with developing a deep marital friendship, learning how to navigate marital conflict, learning the critical importance of repair after conflict and establishing an environment of positivity. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, I work with individual clients to overcome grief, and develop effective tools to manage anxiety, depression and life transitions.
Having been Level 3 Gottman trained and certified in the "Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work, I am deeply influenced by the marital research of John and Julie Gottman. I have also completed core skills training in Emotion Focused Therapy. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help manage anxiety and depression
Having been in the pastoral ministry for 18 years, I understand that in partnering one must be willing to journey into the pain and despair with the client. Developing an environment of trust and understanding is critical to the healing process.
