I am a caring and compassionate listener. My style is open, relational and collaborative. It is important to me to provide an environment that is safe and non-judgemental, where a person can develop a sense of trust and well-being.
I believe the most effective therapy centers on the connection between client and therapist. In collaborating together, we take a deeply personal journey, exploring possibilities and facing what has been difficult. My goal is to help my client heal and guide them toward increased self knowledge, emotional comfort and relationship satisfaction.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic. Originally psychodynamically oriented, I now employ a variety of methods, best tailored to meeting my client's needs. I have also integrated EMDR into my practice and I have had the privilege of seeing how it can powerfully transform people's lives.
I attended NYU and have post master's training from The Institute for Expressive Analysis. I have experience working with many of the challenges you may be facing.
