As a practicing psychologist my role is to use my training and experience to assist the client with making changes that will improve their personal satisfaction with everyday life. I work in a collaborative manner to help individuals clarify their difficulties and set reasonable goals to achieve problem resolution. Each client brings their own unique circumstances to the counseling session. Relationships, depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, communication, family conflict, and addictive behaviors are some of the common themes that are addressed in counseling.
Areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, relationships, self esteem. Additionally, I work with clients who have serious medical conditions.
PhD @ TAMU. Completed an APA approved internship at Lincoln Medical Foundation in Lincoln Nebraska. Awarded an APA approved postdoctoral fellowship with TAMU Med School at SW in Temple, Texas the next year. I place a strong emphasis on personalizing research based methods to fit the needs of my client and a safe/confidential counseling environment.
