In the counseling relationship, I view myself as a collaborator, advocate, and nurturer. I look for opportunities to better support and empower clients on their journey towards a more hopeful, healthier life. My mission is to help families/clients that are stressed, overwhelmed, or struggling with a variety of areas such as post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, changes in life, grief, trauma, and divorce. I do not provide custody evaluations and I am not an expert witness as defined by the legal system.
I help clients identify problem areas and create more effective strategies to resolve these issues. I find myself using cognitive-behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and a variety of other therapies according to the client's needs.
I believe that all persons have resources available to enable them to grow into functional and emotionally healthy adults. The sessions are designed to meet the individual needs of the client.
