UNFORTUNATELY I AM NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS AT THIS TIME. Anyone can have a time in their life when they may need to speak with someone to help them get some clarity or another perspective. First we need to see where you are in that process and together develop a plan to help you learn the skills you need to improve your daily functioning, improve your relationship with yourself and others, improve your ability to self-sooth and self-regulate, increase your ability to "bounce back" from difficulties and/or increase your sense of connection and self-worth. Relationships are rewarding and hard work. I often work with couples/families.
In addition to individual face-to-face counseling I use Art Therapy and other mind/body expressive techniques to enable you to move past the limitations of "talk therapy" to reduce anxiety and stress. I treat Trauma and PTSD using Brainspotting, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Capacitar International Self Regulation and Stress Reduction methods.
I worked 9 years as a civilian Navy Clinical Counselor/Supervisor assisting our sailors and families with negotiating the difficulties of repeated separation and reunification. We treated Domestic Violence and Child Abuse victims and offenders. I spent 5 years as therapist/case manager in an inpatient psychiatric hospital for adolescents.
