Life is full of challenges, unexpected twists, and difficult decisions. Facing these things alone can be overwhelming. Therapy can be a great place to sort through life's challenges as well as explore core beliefs and develop healthy coping mechanisms to not only get through life, but enjoy it. As a therapist, I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, dealing with past trauma, life transitions, identity issues, and self-worth. I like to work with others to create meaningful change in their lives.
I have been a licensed counselor for 6 years with experience in multiple settings including community crisis work, school-based therapy, and outpatient therapy. My theoretical orientation is eclectic providing person-centered care using different approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused strategies.
It takes a lot of courage to begin the therapy process. I believe that therapy should be a safe, judgement free space to speak freely. I strive to create a warm environment and meet people where they are utilizing a strengths-based approach to support you in reaching your goals. I look forward to hearing from you and beginning this journey together.
