I am here to help you establish a practical self-care routine, practice mindful parenting from a secure attachment approach and rediscover your identity in motherhood.
I am here to help you achieve positive change towards an extraordinary life. One that is filled with connection, success, happiness, and health. My passion for empowering mothers comes from a deeply personal place. I have navigated the complicated transition into motherhood as an ambitious entrepreneur and often felt the overwhelm and frustration you may be experiencing right now. I see you, busy mama. You know you were made for more. It is possible to rewrite the stories that are holding you back and feel whole again. I would be honored to help you sort through feelings of burnout and step into confidence in all of your roles.

As the parent of a special needs child and a specialist in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, I have a unique view of the stresses of raising children who have brain based disabilities and trauma, including FASD, ADHD, RAD, Autism, foster care and adoption, and early trauma.
Everyone has challenging times and pain in their life they want to move past. Many need someone to accompany them to move through these times. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to helping people overcome trauma, grief, and disappointments to move toward the goals you want in your life. I have over 25 years of experience with children, youth and families who have experienced trauma, conflict, behavioral challenges, and life transitions including moving toward independence, exploring sexuality, and managing disabilities. I have seen the healing and growth that happen. Give yourself the chance.

Additionally, I specialize in perfectionism, cultural adjustment issues, and parenting a transgender child.
"I'm not enough" - smart enough, attractive enough, successful enough, popular enough, loved enough, or happy enough. Have you ever had these thoughts? Sometimes our stories are full of shame and scarcity. We feel unworthy, but don't understand where these feelings come from, what drives them, and how to let them go. Therapy is a process of uncovering underlying issues and finding practical ways to provoke change. I will walk alongside you in your loneliness, challenge, or fear, and help you safely overcome struggles.

Are you struggling with anxiety, a relationship problem, or emotional pain from a past experience? Maybe you are looking for help with the challenges of parenting your teenager or seeking help for an adolescent who is struggling. I also know the toll of failing relationships and how important it is to find the right support when it feels like your world is falling apart. Maybe you are ready for change, but struggling to take that first step. I help people navigate life’s transitions, address recurring challenges and build better relationships with themselves — and others.

It would be my honor to help you and your child reconnect and redefine your parent-child relationship.
Are you having difficulties getting out of the house with your toddler or preschooler as they have a meltdown over putting their shoes on? Have you ever felt the eyes of strangers watching you as you manage your child’s anger outbursts in the grocery store? Do you ever feel consumed by guilt, worry, or frustration related to raising your child? These challenges can feel debilitating, embarrassing even, but things can get better with the right kind of supports in place.

An integration of humanistic, client centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral, psycho-educational, family systems, parenting training, supportive therapy, and psychodynamic.
Hi there! My name is Chris Stone. I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family, earning my master's at Pepperdine University in 2010. I feel that it is helpful to utilizing training and experience along with empathy, compassion, and optimism to assist in identifying and working towards goals related to growth, and improvement in mental health. I have gotten positive feedback around supporting folks with anxiety and like to assist clients in this area, as well as depression. I would say I am quite comfortable with a range of presenting problems; I particularly enjoy supporting folks with anxiety and / or depression. An integration

Good News! It's never to late to restore your relationship with your child, partner, and/or family member. What matters most in raising children? Relationship matters most. If you are feeling overwhelmed, worried and stressed due to your difficulties in parenting your child then working on attachment with your child is the answer. Working on attachment is also the answer in working through your relationship problems with your partner.

I am passionate about working with couples (dating, pre-marital, married) and families (parenting issues).
Let's be honest, relationships are hard work! Therapy takes intentional effort, vulnerability and persistence to bring about meaningful change in our lives. Before that change can occur, we must first learn what is going on. I want to help you identify the negative patterns in your life and provide tools to replace them with new life-giving actions and transforming truths to bring about healing and restoration in your relationships.

Welcome. I work primarily with couples and couples who are parents. Parenting and marriage play significant roles in our lives and they got harder during Covid. New parents especially are coping with topics that their relatives and friends with older children may have a hard time relating to. I am here to help new parents and couples navigate this transition time as individuals, partners, and parents. I rely heavily on attachment theory, Gottman method techniques for couples and raising emotionally intelligent children, and mindfulness.

As a parent myself I understand the unique struggles of parenting but also of those who long to be parents.
I believe that our lives are built on relationships. Be it between parent and child, partner and partner, supervisor and employee, or peer and peer, relationships can be healing and rewarding, but they can also be painful and difficult. We all know the stress and heartache that can come from a relationship in distress and we all know that desperate, painful feeling of wanting relief. Helping people find their way through these difficulties and back to each other is one of the most rewarding and exciting things I do. I specialize in helping families connect and thrive.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
