I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 18 years of experience specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship & family conflict. I use an eclectic treatment approach that incorporates cognitive interventions, solution-focused strategies and stress reduction techniques stemming from a psychodynamic framework. I believe in the strong connection between mind and body, and incorporate mindfulness-based practices in my work. In addition to in-office and tele-health visits, I now offer Walk Therapy as part of my practice. Walk Therapy allows for mindful exploration and growth through physical movement.
I have extensive experience treating children, adults and families who have been exposed to various forms of trauma. I have specialized training in several evidence-based models to treat trauma-related symptoms, including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child & Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI).
My work includes forensic evaluations, written forensic reports and opinions and testimony in legal proceedings as a qualified expert in issues related to childhood/ adult trauma, domestic violence, child abuse/ neglect, sexual assault and custody/visitation, including risk of harm and international child abduction matters under the Hague Convention.
