I specialize in working with adolescents or adults who have relationship problems with partners, co-workers, friends or children; have trauma history and/or are having difficulty navigating through changes in their lives such as beginning or leaving school, getting or losing a job, divorce or loss of a loved one.
My clients describe me as "down to earth", "warm" and an "energetic listener". Together we develop mutually determined goals and pave the road toward achieving them.
I believe in people's inner strength, and through therapy, strive to facilitate the process of identifying those strengths and nurturing them.
Traditional "talking therapy", Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)are the treatment methods I use most often. EMDR is an accelerated processing model for people who have traumas or phobias in their lives, often helping them move through their issues in a more timely fashion.
I practice 4 Ls: I "LOVE" bearing witness to my clients' healing; I "LISTEN" to their stories; I "LIMIT" their pain in the quickest way possible. I work from the first day of therapy to "LET GO" of our appointments, as clients resolve the issues that brought them to therapy.
