As a Black wife, mother, and mental health counselor, I aim to help my clients design balanced lives focusing on holistic wellness. I specialize in couple and family counseling, career and life preparation, and individual therapy. My work involves addressing and managing personal, emotional, professional, and relationship issues to help my clients achieve their goals. I show up to each session as my authentic self, understanding the power of diversity, inclusion, and representation. My intersecting identity is a powerful resource for those who share my similar identities and those who do not but desire authenticity.
My primary approach to counseling is an integration of person-centered, mindfulness-based, reality therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. During sessions, we will aim to balance mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship with the client, and a collaborative effort to identify the changes that the client can make to minimize life's stressors
My role is to help you reach whatever goals you may have for yourself by providing nonjudgmental support and helping to facilitate your journey.
