I am certified in EMDR, and trained in ego state work and other trauma treatments.
Do you want to make a big change in your life? EMDR Therapy intensives give you the opportunity to spend several hours a day, for 1-10 days in close proximity, with one therapist, focusing on your healing. We have all gone through hard things in life and often have internalized negative messages and memories from those times. These can block us from living the lives we really want. EMDR is a therapeutic approach that can heal those stuck memories and free up your energy for growth and new ways of living.

You essentially agree to be challenged, to relive your trauma, and to give your anxieties over to someone else to hold.
My ideal client would be ready for a challenge. Someone who wants their worldview expanded, prepared to find internal and external connection with the world. My ideal client would be someone who also wants their race, sexuality, or gender affirmed by their clinician.

I primarily focus on therapy for trauma-related problems, anxiety disorders, and stress reduction.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who enjoys helping clients regain a sense of hope, direction, and personal power in the face of complex and difficult problems. I strive to develop a truly collaborative partnership with my clients to build the sense of safety and trust needed to discuss uncomfortable topics and take risks. Therapy with me often involves re-examining old ways of thinking that might be fostering negative emotions and patterns of behavior; identifying and confronting fears; and practicing new ways of solving problems in order to live a fuller, more satisfying life.

I specialize in treating individuals with addiction, trauma, family dysfunction, and major life changes.
Stagnant or stuck? Do you feel lost, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, or isolated? Do you find yourself repeating the same behaviors, even though you know they are not helping you get to where you want to be? You want things to be different with your entire being, but for whatever reason just cant seem to get there. You've turned to addictive behaviors or developed an unhealthy relationship with food to cope. Self sabotage and self criticism turns into a vicious cycle. You have tried therapy before, but didn't feel like you got what you needed because you were listened to but not challenged or pushed out of your comfort zone.

All people experience some level of trauma in their lifetime, and moving forward from it differently is key.
Life can give us struggles at times, and when we are alone they can seem overwhelming. With help we can learn to manage things with support and then independently so that we can move forward differently. Therapy is an art form and each person requires a different brush stroke. You will be met where you are and treated as an individual person who has value and tons of positive qualities. Most people have the skills they need to be successful but many forget they have them or how to use them. Together we can reintroduce you to yourself and you can begin to live life differently in a more rich and personally fulfilling way.

For those who have had severe trauma, I offer the Trauma-Informed Approach.
Hello! To say my life has been interesting is an understatement. If it's unusual or a rare thing it's most likely happened to me or I've helped someone dealing with it. In order to be a well-rounded therapist, I have worked in state agencies, schools, and now for myself. I dedicated five years to fulfill contracts with the military (all over the world) to assist active duty and their families. It's very important to me to make sure your therapy is in tune with your needs. I don't do cookie-cutter therapy. I proudly call my business LHC and Company because I believe in teamwork with you and those I need to get the work done.

Somatic therapy for the sensitive, highly aware soul- healing the root of trauma, perfectionism, and relationship patterns. You’ve tried faking it, pushing through emotions, and relying on positive thinking, but still feel stuck. You compare yourself, fear being "too much" in relationships, and despite success, nothing you do feels enough. Life may look "Instagram-Perfect," but it’s missing the ease you deserve. You know what keeps you stuck and why, but actual change remains out of reach. Together, we’ll uncover the love you want, appreciate the beauty in imperfection, and quiet the inner fight. I promise there’s another way.
